Expert Engineer

• Check, review, follow and update company comprehensive HES program.
• Gather a list of all international HSE and Process Safety standards and codes and having knowledge about those.
• Experiences to work with international Oil-Gas or Petrochemicals Companies and having knowledge of FEED, DD and main HSE activities in those sequences.
• Update Design HSE plan with related company's contractors and report to HSE manager accordingly.
• Review, check, comments, Follow and update Loss Prevention Philosophies (LPP) as below:
• Overpressure protection
• Active fire protection
• Passive fire protection job spec
• Fire & Gas Detection
• Emergency isolation and depressurization
• Equipment isolation for maintenance
• Actively Participate/ attend in HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA-SIL, QRA-FERA and other related process safety studies/ meeting also Check advice and comments in all Related HSE meetings, studies, workshops and report the results to HSE Manager.
• Participate in 3D model reviewing and make sure that HSE rules and regulation such as: access ways, area classifications, hazardous material control, emergency situation, communication and etc. are following, also report the results to HSE Manager.
• Check and Review all HSE and Process Safety procedures, reports, work sheets and documents, (which are sent by contractors or by vendors/ licensors even by company) and give comments and follow to take corrective actions.
• Check and review Fire Fighting network designs, fire zones, arrangement, distance, and coverage of firefighting system, give comments and follow to take corrective action.
• Check and review all Hazardous Area classifications and compare with standards and make sure that HAC is following.
• Review and check all Fire and Gas Detection layout/ design, check and give comments and follow to take corrective action.
• Based on defined responsibilities by HSE manager, Follow all HSE management plan and program.
• Complete HSE periodical reports and send them to HSE manager.
• Review Fire and Hazard Protection and Engineering Design including preparation, knowledge of related calculations,
• Check and Review Passive Fire Protection studies and drawings, Safety Equipment layouts, Safety Signage and follow to take corrective action.
• Having a active and good communication with HSE manager and all contractors key personnel like HSE persons in order to have and share last updated information.
• Reviewing specifications, data sheets, schedules, study reports, and design calculations; ensuring that they conform to engineering quality, competence, and project management systems.
• Co-ordinating with other disciplines during all stages of design development,
• Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives, and industry technology developments
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Technical Safety engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to FEED and Detail Design.
• Follow all company risk management system.
• Prepare and update Company HSE and Process Safety Procedures.
• Provide all needed Risk Assessments and report the result to Management.
• Able to perform Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) modelling, as required.
• Assess potential risks in all company activities and develop appropriate prevention and mitigation plans.
• Check, Review, comment and update on Gas Dispersion Study.
• Check, Review, comment and update site general and units plot plan.
• Experience working with related HSE Engineering software like PHAST, MOC, etc.

General Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential.
• Demonstrate organizational skills, ability to shift priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills to communicate with hourly workforce, business leaders, customers, and business technical resources.
• Highly motivated team player able to work at a fast pace
