About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Legal Manager to lead the legal function in mortgage lending. This role involves ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, managing legal documentation, and driving strong client and regulatory relationships, while leading a high-performing legal team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct title searches & ownership verification to ensure clear property titles.
  • Draft, review & negotiate mortgage-related legal documents.
  • Provide legal advisory to Banks/NBFCs on mortgage products & regulations.
  • Identify & mitigate legal risks while ensuring strict regulatory compliance.
  • Manage escalations & maintain strong client relationships with Banks/NBFCs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for smooth operations.
  • Prevent fraud through diligent checks & monitoring.
  • Lead, mentor & manage legal teams for optimal performance.
  • Drive client retention & business growth.

Qualifications

  • Law degree with strong expertise in mortgage lending laws & regulations.
  • Proven experience in mortgage, banking, or NBFCs.
  • Strong analytical, advisory & negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication & problem-solving abilities.
  • Leadership experience in managing legal teams.
