Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Position Overview
Seeking a Senior QA Engineer who can own and drive the quality function end-to-end. This role demands strong expertise in API testing, process setup, documentation, tool selection, and cross-functional collaboration. The engineer will be a core member of the product team and will establish scalable QA practices, define standards, and ensure high-quality releases across products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead QA efforts across the product lifecycle as a core member of the engineering team.
- Set up and formalize QA processes, frameworks, and best practices from scratch.
- Design comprehensive test strategies covering functional, regression, smoke, integration, API, performance, and automation testing.
- Own API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, or equivalent.
- Identify and implement the right testing tools, frameworks, and automation stacks aligned with product needs.
- Develop and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, defect reports, and QA guidelines.
- Work closely with developers, product, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth delivery and early defect detection.
- Drive automation coverage—framework design, script creation, execution, and continuous integration.
- Perform performance testing using tools like JMeter, Gatling, or similar.
- Validate data workflows and perform DB validations using RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).
- Conduct root-cause analysis for critical bugs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote a quality-first culture.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–8+ years of strong QA experience with deep focus on API testing.
- Proven experience setting up QA processes and frameworks in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on experience with both manual and automation testing.
- Solid understanding of API protocols (REST, JSON, XML), API automation, and integration testing.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST Assured, or similar.
- Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies.
- Ability to write clear, structured QA documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Good to Have
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps concepts.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Security testing awareness.

Pay: ₹2,500, ₹3,200,000.00 per year
