Technical Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a healthcare technology project built on Python Django, Angular, Tableau, AWS Athena, and Data Engineering/DevOps. The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, and client communication, while ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.

This role requires strong leadership, healthcare project experience, and hands-on familiarity with data platforms, analytics, and modern software engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Execution

• Define, plan, and manage project scope, timelines, milestones, and budget.

• Drive project execution using JIRA for task management and tracking.

• Ensure deliverables meet client requirements and organizational standards.

• Team Leadership & Management

• Lead cross-functional teams across Python Django, Angular, Tableau, AWS Athena, and Data Engineering/DevOps.

• Manage task allocation, progress monitoring, and performance evaluation.

• Mentor and guide team members for productivity and growth.

• Stakeholder & Client Communication

• Act as the primary point of contact for the client.

• Conduct regular client meetings, status updates, and progress reports.

• Translate technical details into clear business communication.

• Risk & Issue Management

• Identify, track, and mitigate risks and dependencies.

• Proactively resolve issues to maintain project stability.

• Process & Quality Assurance

• Implement Agile/Scrum methodologies and best practices.

• Ensure adherence to DevOps pipelines, data engineering workflows, and quality standards.

• Maintain compliance with healthcare data regulations (HIPAA/GDPR).

• Reporting & Analytics

• Track KPIs, project health, and resource utilization.

• Prepare clear dashboards and reports for senior management.

Key Skills & Competencies

• 10+ years in IT project management, with healthcare or life sciences project experience preferred.
• Proven experience managing projects involving Python Django, Angular, Tableau, AWS Athena, and DevOps/Data Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of JIRA and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent client-facing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Experience working with distributed or offshore teams.
• Understanding of healthcare compliance (HIPAA, GDPR) is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, or Agile certifications preferred.
• 10+ years in IT project management with at least 35 years in healthcare or analytics-driven projects.
