Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Production Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of production activities. The role involves assisting the Production Manager in ensuring smooth operations, maintaining quality standards, optimizing resources, and meeting production deadlines. The Assistant Production Manager will act as a link between departments, supervise staff, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Job Description

1 Use optimum resource allocation to create a Production Planning and Scheduling system according to the Customer demand/ Orders.

2 Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) (with break-up of Monthly, weekly, and daily) to ensure alignment with customer demands and production capabilities.

3 To give the planning of inventory levels of fabric materials . To Coordinate with the purchase team in production activity planning to ensure continuous supply and avoid overstocking as well.

4 Analyzing the availability of resources like manpower, material, machines, etc. to prepare Capacity Plans according to the production capacity to ensure optimum utilization.

5 To coordinate with the Stitching Contractor/ Person and perform the stitching activities taking care of the deadlines.

6 To coordinate with the QC team and execute the Material QC process, monitor any delays in the process, and take further actions accordingly.

7 To coordinate with the Dispatch team in the Dispatch Schedule and deadlines as provided by the Sales Team, and monitor no delay should be there in the delivery.

8 To maintain all the forms and formats regarding the Production Planning process with the correct details.

9 To timely submit the Management Information Reports to the Manager .

10 To attend daily production review meetings, discuss issues/ challenges, and forward action plans to its team.

11 To maintain data security and confidentiality.

12 To act as a substitute in the absence of your colleague and take the emergent responsibilities .

13 To Support the HR in the Employee life cycle, including Recruitment and selection, Induction, ensuring proper Training of new and existing team members, Performance Management, and Exit & Retention as well.

14 To live by HR Policy and motivate your team to do so.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Diploma/Engineering (Textile Engineering preferred)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in the Fabric/Textile Industry
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and factory operations

Skills & Competencies

  • IT & Process Skills: Technical knowledge of production planning and scheduling, familiarity with project management, proficiency in production planning software, strong analytical and problem-solving ability, good command of MS Office, and report preparation.
  • Managerial & Interpersonal Skills: Team management, leadership, decision-making, coordination, motivation, negotiation, effective communication, and focus on learning & development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹22, ₹27,000.00 per month
