Network Engineer:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced candidate for the position of Network Engineer to join our development team. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining our internal infrastructure and communicating with stakeholders of Aetram on various aspects. Need to have exposure to network and cybersecurity aspects.
Key Responsibilities:
System and Network Administration
Manage and maintain network infrastructure across Windows and Linux environments.
- Troubleshoot network and system issues to ensure high availability and minimize downtime.
- Administer and monitor firewalls, VPNs, routers, and switches to ensure proper network functionality.
- Configure and manage DNS/DHCP, Active Directory, and Group Policy for user authentication, network security, and access control.
Implement and maintain cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure) where necessary.
Security Operations and Threat Management
Work in a Security Operations Center (SOC) to monitor network security, analyze incidents, and provide real-time threat detection.
- Implement network security measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN security.
- Perform vulnerability assessments, security audits, and address security gaps by applying patches and updates.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement and enforce security best practices and policies.
Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and resolve security breaches.
Website and Domain Security
Ensure the security and integrity of web applications and web servers, including Apache and Nginx.
- Implement SSL/TLS encryption, configure WAFs, and protect websites from DDoS and other cyber-attacks.
- Regularly perform security assessments to identify vulnerabilities in websites and web servers.
Manage domain services and ensure Active Directory functionality, including handling user access, security groups, and group policies.
Monitoring and Reporting
Use monitoring tools to monitor system performance, security, and network traffic proactively.
- Generate and maintain security and performance reports, providing insights for continuous improvement.
Work with the team to identify network bottlenecks and propose optimization solutions.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Collaborate with trading systems engineers and IT staff to ensure seamless network operations and integration.
Document network configurations, changes, security measures, and log monitoring procedures.
Compliance & Best Practices:
Ensure network designs and operations comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated with the latest network and security trends, technologies, and best practices.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
Provide timely support for network, server, and security-related issues.
- Work closely with both technical and non-technical teams to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Document troubleshooting procedures and solutions for future reference and to ensure smooth handovers.
Backup and Disaster Recovery
Oversee backup and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring regular backups of critical systems and data.
- Test recovery procedures regularly and ensure business continuity in case of system failures.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 3- 5 years of experience as a System and Network Engineer or a similar role, working with both Windows and Linux environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with network configuration, troubleshooting, and system administration.
- Experience with Security Operations Center (SOC), including incident response, vulnerability management, and threat detection.
- Proficient in website security, including web server hardening, SSL/TLS encryption, and DDoS protection.
- Experience with domain management using Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policies.
- Strong understanding of network security technologies like firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and security audits.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure is a plus.
- Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.

- Operating Systems: Windows Server, Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat)
- Networking: DNS/DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN, Routing, Firewalls, VPNs
- Security Tools: Wireshark, Nmap, Nessus, SolarWinds, Nagios, SIEM tools
