Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and enhancement of SAP BW data models (InfoObjects, InfoProviders, Composite Providers, etc.).
  • Assist in building and maintaining SAC dashboards and reports based on business requirements
  • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from SAP source systems to SAP BW.
  • Develop and optimize SAP BW data models, queries, and reports to ensure high performance and usability.
  • Design and build SAC dashboards and stories that deliver actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Work with senior analysts and business users to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot BW processes, ensuring system performance, data accuracy, and reliability.
  • Create and maintain documentation for SAP BW processes, including data flows, reports, and system configurations.
  • Support SAP system upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in SAP BW/BI tools and recommend enhancements to existing solutions.

Experience & Qualifications:

Mandatory (critical for the Role):

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Approximately 5-7 years of experience with SAP BW and at least 1-2 years with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  • Hands-on experience in designing and building SAC dashboards with live and imported models
  • Strong understanding of SAP ERP processes and integration points between modules.
  • Expertise in SAP BW data modelling, ETL processes, and BEx Query Designer.
  • Experience with SAP HANA modelling and reporting (preferred).
  • Solid understanding of SAP BW performance tuning and optimization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Skills (Technical, Business, Leadership):

  • SAP BW/BI: Data modelling, BEx Query Designer, ETL processes, Info Objects, InfoCubes, DSO, MultiProviders
  • SAP Modules: Sales (SD), Materials Management (MM), Finance (FI/CO)
  • Database Technologies: SAP HANA (preferred), SQL
  • Reporting Tools: SAP Analytics Cloud, Analysis for Office, Power BI
  • Integration Tools: SAP Data Services
  • Performance Optimization: SAP BW Accelerator, HANA-specific optimizations
  • Experience with SAP BW on HANA or SAP BW/4HANA.
  • Familiarity with ABAP for SAP BW enhancements.
  • SAP BW/BI certification is a plus.
