Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Privacy Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day execution of our global privacy program. This role is responsible for operationalizing privacy policies, managing compliance workflows, and ensuring alignment with international data protection regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and DPDP (India). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of privacy frameworks, data governance, and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Contractual Privacy Review
    • Draft, review, and negotiate privacy and data protection clauses in DPA and contracts.
    • Ensure third-party agreements align with global privacy laws and internal PET strategies.
    • Collaborate with legal, procurement, and security teams to assess contractual risk.
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Interpret global privacy regulations and embed PETs to meet legal obligations.
    • Conduct Transfer Impact Assessment (TIA) to assess cross border data transfer permitted or not
    • Support lawful cross-border data transfers using SCCs, BCRs, and encryption-based PETs.
    • Maintain compliance documentation including RoPA, DPIAs, and consent records.
  • Privacy Program Management
    • Design and implement privacy-by-design frameworks using PETs 
    • Lead privacy impact assessments and integrate PETs into data lifecycle processes.
    • Respond to privacy incidents with technical and legal mitigation strategies.
  • Third Party Privacy Assessment 
    • Assess privacy posture of new vendors and detail associated privacy risks.
    • Support business on details Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)
    • GAP analysis of technical and organizational measures (TOMS). 
    • Audit clause reviews.
    • Sub processor risk analysis.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Advise internal teams on PET adoption in product development and data analytics.
    • Educate business units on the legal implications of PETs and data governance.
    • Liaise with regulators and external counsel on PET-related compliance matters.
Qualifications
  • 9 -12 years of experience in privacy compliance, legal advisory, or contract management
  • Law degree (LL.B) with specialization in privacy/data protection.
  • Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or FIP preferred.
  • Working knowledge of PETs and their application in real-world systems.
  • Strong understanding of global privacy frameworks and technical safeguards.
