Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Piping Design Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in piping design, preferably within the maritime or offshore industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of maritime standards, piping design codes, and the requirements of classification societies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop piping systems for marine vessels and offshore platforms.
  • Prepare piping layouts, isometric drawings, and material take-offs.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable maritime standards and classification society regulations (e.g., DNV, ABS, LR, IRS).
  • Collaborate with structural and mechanical teams to ensure integration of systems.
  • Support in preparing technical documentation and design calculations.
  • Conduct 3D modeling and review using industry-standard tools.
  • Assist in design reviews, approval processes, and client meetings when required.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in piping design.
  • Strong understanding of maritime standards and classification society requirements (e.g., DNV, ABS, LR).
  • In-depth knowledge of piping standards, materials, and marine equipment.
  • Proficient in engineering drawing interpretation and specification development.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Mandatory software proficiency: AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD 2D.
  • Familiarity with shipyard processes, newbuilds, or retrofit projects.
