Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Oversight

  • Lead the piping discipline across all phases: proposal, detailed design, and construction.

  • Plan, assign, and manage piping engineering and design activities across multiple projects.

  • Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure all piping systems comply with relevant codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, etc.) and client requirements.

  • Technical Knowledge

  • Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

  • Pipe routing and layout models (2D/3D)
  • Pipe stress analysis
  • Isometric drawings and material take-offs (MTOs)
  • Line lists and valve data sheets

  • Material & Procurement

  • Supervise pipe material selection, specifications, and provide procurement support.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with Mechanical, Civil, Process, Structural, Project, and Procurement teams.

  • Interface with clients, vendors, and construction teams to resolve technical issues.

  • Team Development

  • Mentor and develop piping engineers and designers within the team.

  • Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track discipline progress, productivity, and quality.

  • Report updates to the project manager.
  • Ensure adherence to man-hours, schedules, and quality standards.

  • Software Proficiency

  • Proficient in piping design tools: AutoCAD, SmartPlant, PDMS, Caesar II, E3D, Navisworks.

  • Conduct model reviews with clients.
  • Education & Experience
  • BE/ME Degree in Mechanical Engineering
