Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Draughtsman with strong expertise in HVAC drafting and quantity estimation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed HVAC drawings, extracting accurate quantities from plans, and assisting in the preparation of BOQs for various residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. HVAC Drafting & Design


• Prepare detailed HVAC layout drawings, sections, and schematics using AutoCAD.


• Develop ducting, piping, equipment layouts, and coordination drawings as per project requirements.


• Update and revise drawings based on site conditions, consultant feedback, and design changes.

  1. Quantity Take-Offs (QTO)


• Accurately extract quantities of ducts, pipes, fittings, insulation, grills, diffusers, etc., from HVAC drawings.


• Maintain measurement sheets and ensure quantity accuracy for estimation and procurement.


• Coordinate with the engineering/estimation team for clarifications related to drawings.

  1. BOQ Preparation


• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on extracted quantities and project standards.


• Assist the estimation team in preparing cost estimates and material lists.


• Ensure BOQs are aligned with tender documents, specifications, and approved drawings.

  1. Coordination & Documentation


• Collaborate with project engineers, site teams, and consultants for technical inputs.


• Maintain organized drawing files, revisions, and documentation records.


• Support the preparation of as-built drawings at project completion.

Required Skills & Qualifications:


• Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or related field.


• 2–5 years of experience as an AutoCAD Draughtsman in HVAC projects.


• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D); knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.


• Excellent understanding of HVAC systems, ducting standards, and piping layouts.


• Experience in quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation is essential.


• Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
