Role Overview
We are looking for a Scouting Lead with 7+ years of experience to head our technology and vendor scouting initiatives. This role involves identifying, evaluating, and onboarding cutting-edge technologies, suppliers, and strategic partners to support Flowatt's mission of building advanced battery systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end scouting of technologies, suppliers, and partnerships in the energy storage ecosystem.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and emerging innovations in batteries and related fields.
- Evaluate and onboard vendors/partners, ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards.
- Collaborate with R&D, procurement, and leadership teams to align scouting with business goals.
- Build and maintain a strong network of industry experts, startups, and research institutions.
- Present reports and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in technology scouting, vendor development, or strategic sourcing.
- Strong understanding of battery technology, clean energy, or advanced manufacturing.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in energy storage, automotive, or electronics sectors is preferred.
