Refrigeration Operator L2

This role is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the refrigeration section in the shift.

• Follow all safety and compliance policies/procedures/systems of the company - (C.A.R.E – Commit, Access, Recognize, Encourage) program.
• Commit, comply, support the Simplot Sustainability Strategy and work towards achieving the sustainability targets of the company.
• Follow all personnel and process safety guidelines while attending all kind of jobs in the shift.
• Operate refrigeration & HVAC section through automatic or manual control systems to ensure efficient and safe working of all equipment (ammonia compressors, pumps, receivers, cooling towers, AHU's, chillers, safety valves etc.) as per company standards.
• Deliver the required conditioned air supply to the plant with standard efficiencies, quality and within allowable transportation losses in the shift.
• Pass information immediately to the team leader-utility / supervisor assigned during the shift, regarding any kind of emergency related to operation or maintenance of the refrigeration section.
• Follow all government and company guidelines during any emergency.
• Coordinate with production operators, maintenance technicians etc. in case of any deviation in conditioned air supply from set standards i.e. deviation of temperature and RH conditions from set values, less flow due to blockages of ducts or duct grills, unplanned stoppage, leakages etc.
• Execute the predictive, preventive and breakdown maintenance jobs as per instructions of the team leader-Utility, with the help of maintenance technicians.
• Get the work permit authorization from the team leader-utility, before starting of any maintenance job.
• Attend & resolve the assigned maintenance job within the standard time limit set by the company
• Document service records of all equipment of refrigeration section.
• Fill and submit the shift log sheet to the shift team leader- utility, with required details of refrigeration section operation and maintenance.
• Complete or handover the maintenance jobs carried out in the shift.
• Attend and contribute in the shift handover-takeover meetings between the team leaders along with the utility crew at the end of the shift.
• Actively participate in different programs, trainings & initiatives taken by company time to time.
• Ensure proper food safety sanitation and cleaning procedures of all processing equipment and tools.

2 to 8 years relevant experience.

Must have completed ITI in refrigeration / mechanical / fitter on full time basis from recognised academic institute which is approved by UGC or similar accreditation body.

• Must have hands on experience of troubleshooting of technical problems related to production & maintenance.
• Experience in greenfield projects preferred.
