Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Service Engineer – Loader / Underground Loader (UG Loader) to provide expert technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for underground loaders (LHDs) and surface loaders used in mining operations. The role requires strong hands-on experience, deep technical knowledge, and the ability to support high-availability operations in challenging mine-site environments.

Key Responsibilities
Service & Technical Support

  • Perform installation, commissioning, servicing, and overhauling of Loaders / UG Loaders (LHDs).

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain issues.

  • Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to ensure maximum machine uptime.

  • Support major assemblies including engine, transmission, axle, brake systems, hydraulics, and electricals.

  • Analyze recurring failures and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) with corrective and preventive actions.

Site Operations & Customer Support

  • Provide on-site technical support at underground and surface mining locations.

  • Act as a technical interface between customers, OEMs, and internal teams.

  • Ensure compliance with mine safety regulations, SOPs, and OEM guidelines.

  • Prepare detailed service reports, job cards, and maintenance documentation.

Team Support & Training

  • Guide and mentor junior service engineers and technicians at site.

  • Conduct operator and technician training on machine operation, maintenance, and safety.

  • Support shift planning and service manpower deployment at mine sites.

Warranty, Parts & Documentation

  • Handle warranty claims, failure reports, and technical feedback to OEMs.

  • Coordinate with parts teams to ensure availability of critical spares.

  • Maintain accurate service records, maintenance logs, and equipment history.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong hands-on experience with Loaders / Underground Loaders (LHDs).

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, mechanical systems, and electrical diagnostics.

  • Knowledge of underground mining practices and safety standards.

  • Ability to work in shift operations and challenging mine environments.

  • Strong communication, reporting, and customer-handling skills.

Educational Qualification

  • Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mining Machinery Engineering.

Preferred Industry Background

  • Underground Mining OEMs
