Role Details

Job Description – Junior QA Engineer (Manual + Automation)

Location: Chandigarh

Job Type: Full-Time (Work From Office)

Experience: 2–3 years

Qualification: Graduate (B.Tech/BCA/MCA or equivalent in IT/CS)

Role Description

  • Understand business requirements and create effective test plans and test cases.

● Perform manual testing across web applications, APIs, and databases.

● Execute automation test scripts and contribute to automation framework development.

● Identify, log, and track bugs in collaboration with the development team.

● Conduct regression, functional, smoke, and integration testing for multiple modules.

● Validate API responses (using tools like Postman, Swagger, etc.).

● Work closely with developers and product managers for smooth release cycles.

● Prepare test reports and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduate in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

● 2–3 years of experience in Manual and Automation testing.

● Strong knowledge of SDLC & STLC.

● Hands-on with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, or TestNG.

● Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, JMeter).

● Familiarity with databases (MySQL/SQL) for data validation.

● Basic understanding of version control (Git).

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

● Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience

● Experience testing ERP/CRM systems or large-scale web applications.

● Exposure to e-commerce or sales process testing (cart, payment, invoicing).

● Ability to write and maintain automation test scripts.
