About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified Substation Expert with extensive international experience to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, designing, managing, quality assurance, and supervision of both Air Insulated (AIS) and Gas Insulated (GIS) substations ranging from 132kV to 400kV.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of international professional experience in substation projects (AIS & GIS).
• Proven track record in substation planning, design, management, QA/QC, and supervision.
• Strong knowledge of modern practices and technologies in GIS construction.
• Experience working with EAP-funded projects and familiarity with respective tender/implementation guidelines.
• Proficiency in modern substation-related software (added advantage).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of AIS and GIS substation projects.
• Supervise construction, testing, and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with international standards.
• Oversee quality assurance and implement best practices in modern substation technologies, particularly GIS.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations throughout the entire construction cycle.
• Provide technical expertise on EAP-funded projects, including compliance with tender and implementation guidelines.
• Utilize modern software tools relevant to substation design and management.
