Job Title: Procurement and Contract Expert

Location: Assam

Project: Assam Intra State Transmission Enhancement

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Contract Expert with strong experience in managing procurement and contract processes for large-scale power infrastructure projects. The selected candidate will provide technical and contractual expertise in bid preparation, contract documentation, and contract management in support of the Team Leader.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Postgraduate degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in procurement and contract management for similar works.
  • Proven track record of handling contracts for projects involving 132kV and above (including up to 400kV) substations or transmission lines.
  • Strong knowledge of international procurement procedures and documentation standards.
  • Experience in working on projects funded by international agencies (preferred).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Team Leader in the preparation of bid and contract documents for substation and transmission projects.
  • Manage the full procurement cycle, ensuring compliance with international standards and funding agency requirements.
  • Provide oversight and guidance in contract administration and management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure procurement and contracting activities are aligned with project timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
  • Support risk identification, claim management, and dispute resolution processes as needed.
