Production Engineer- High Speed Press Shop

1 .Role & responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage day-to-day production activities on the shop floor.
  • Work in coordination with the entire Production team- Production Head, Production planner and PC, data entry operators, operators and helpers.
  • Implement and sustain 5S practices to maintain workplace organization and cleanliness.
  • Drive Kaizen initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
  • Monitor production performance and ensure achievement of daily and monthly targets.
  • Coordinate manpower, machines, and material usage efficiently.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and process standards.
  • Train and guide operators/workers in lean manufacturing practices.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for breakdowns, rejections, or process issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Review production records, downtime analysis, and prepare improvement reports.

Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Stores for smooth production flow.

2. Preferred candidate profile & Required Skills

  • Knowledge of High speed power presses and precision tools.
  • Strong knowledge of 5S and Kaizen implementation on the shop floor.
  • Hands-on leadership with ability to guide and motivate teams.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (PDCA, Poka-Yoke, Kanban preferred).
  • Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Good communication, planning, and reporting skills.

Proficiency in MS Office / ERP systems (preferred).
