Role Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented 
Senior Accountant
 to independently manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure statutory compliance (GST, TDS, PT, ESIC), and deliver timely management reports. The role requires close coordination with external auditors, consultants, and senior leadership. This position is ideal for someone ready to move beyond core accounting into a leadership trajectory, taking ownership of financial processes and contributing to strategic decision-making.

This is a full-time,

 based at our head office in 
Mumbai
.

Role Description:

  1. Accounting & Financial Control


• Maintain full set of company books in Tally/ERP, including daily entries, reconciliations, and monthly/annual closing.


• Monitor accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash-flow requirements.


• Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.

  1. Compliance & Taxation


• Prepare and file GST returns across multiple states, ensuring timely payments and reconciliations.


• Handle TDS computation and returns, Professional Tax (PT), and ESIC compliance.


• Prepare schedules and coordinate with internal and statutory auditors, ensuring all audit observations are addressed promptly.

  1. Management Reporting


• Generate regular MIS reports and dashboards covering revenue, expenses, and variance analysis for management and business units.


• Assist in budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting to support decision-making.


• Present concise financial insights to leadership on a monthly basis.

  1. Stakeholder Coordination


• Liaise with banks, consultants, and government departments for routine finance matters.


• Work closely with department heads to provide financial data and compliance guidance.

Qualifications:


• Education: B.Com/M.Com mandatory; CA-Inter, CMA-Inter or semi-qualified CA strongly preferred.


• Experience: 4–7 years in accounting and taxation within MSME or small/mid-size companies.


• Strong working knowledge of Tally/ERP and advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic dashboards).


• Thorough understanding of GST (multi-state), TDS, PT, and ESIC requirements.


• Excellent attention to detail, ability to work independently, and a proactive, ownership mindset.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact confidently with auditors, consultants, and management.
