We are seeking a skilled Data Risk & Privacy Consultant to independently engage with application owners and architects to assess and mitigate data sharing risks. The ideal candidate will have experience in evaluating technical artifacts, understanding application architectures, and providing guidance on data risk mitigation strategies, regulatory compliance, and Privacy-by-Design (PbD) principles. Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct independent working sessions with application owners and architects to assess data sharing risks, including access control, data segmentation, and compliance adherence.
  • Collaborate with application teams to understand current-state architecture patterns, tooling, and process limitations.
  • Recommend risk mitigation strategies, including data segmentation, access control tactics, Privacy-by-Design (PbD), and regulatory compliance measures.
  • Review technical artifacts to identify data access risks and provide remediation guidance.
  • Assess application and data architectures to ensure alignment with client standards, frameworks, and regulatory policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • Strong ability to review technical artifacts to identify data risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with application assessments, data risk assessments, and privacy frameworks.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) principles and risk management strategies.
  • Ability to interpret and assess various architecture diagrams and security policies.

Preferred Skills :

  • Prior experience in data security, privacy regulations, and compliance frameworks.
  • Background in conducting risk assessments and recommending technical and procedural controls.
