Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain storage infrastructure for performance, availability, and capacity.
  • Conduct proactive health checks and troubleshoot identified issues to minimize downtime.
  • Manage storage provisioning, allocation, and ensure end-to-end service availability.
  • Drive major incident management calls and lead root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Maintain firmware and software versions to compliant, stable, and recommended standards.
  • Ensure Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) through replication and SVMDR with minimal disruption.
  • Provide technical support for storage hardware, software, and virtual appliances supporting hosted application environments.
  • Document SOPs, configuration changes, and system upgrades.
  • Generate and maintain periodic reports on performance, utilization, and capacity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams for seamless integration of storage with enterprise systems.
  • Share knowledge through technical discussions and documentation.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and storage innovations.

Skills Required:

  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM SAN, NetApp Storage Cluster, Brocade Zoning.
  • Familiarity with ONTAP administration and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of firmware upgrades, high-availability systems, and replication technologies (SVMDR).
  • Solid understanding of NAS/SAN protocols and storage networking concepts.
  • Experience in incident management, RCA, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in documenting procedures and generating capacity/performance reports.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
