Role & responsibilities

  • Utility Management: Primarily responsible for managing utilities such as the Water Treatment Plant, STP, air compressors, air-conditioning system, piping system, HSD yard and Fire Hydrant System at the plant. Assist in coordinating and managing new mechanical utility-related projects.
  • Cooling Tower Maintenance: Ensure uninterrupted or minimal idle time during breakdowns by maintaining the supply of cooling water from the cooling tower to end users. Maintain cooling tower pipelines, records, and operations at all times.
  • Raw Water Supply: Ensure the supply of raw water from bore wells to end users. Maintain bore wells, water pipelines, and their operation and maintenance.
  • Drinking Water Quality: Ensure the quality of drinking water (R.O. water) meets standards.
  • Fire Hydrant System: Ensure the fire hydrant system is in healthy working condition.
  • Inventory Management: To maintain minimum and maximum stock levels for mechanical utility spares.
  • Operation & Maintenance: Execute various stages within operation and maintenance work/PM work, including safety, work priority in adherence with ISO systems.
  • Utility Reports: Maintain records of utility reports on a regular basis.
  • Documentation: Ensure drawings and records are kept in both soft and hard formats.
  • Work Scheduling: Maintain work schedules as per work orders by coordinating with contractors and following up. Implement new methods to validate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Mechanical Maintenance: Handle mechanical maintenance activities in the plant to ensure equipment is ready for operational use and maintain 5-S standards at the site.
  • Service Requests: Carry out activities as per service requests from cross-functional departments.
  • Civil Works Vigilance: Monitor civil works and their status.
