Key Responsibilities:
Category Strategy & Planning
Define and execute short-term and long-term strategies for the fragrance category.
Develop annual category plans including sales targets, brand mix, and product roadmap.
Identify gaps in the current portfolio and consumer needs to introduce new products/SKUs.
Product Development & Sourcing
Work closely with product development, R&D, and design teams to conceptualize and launch new fragrances.
Collaborate with vendors, fragrance houses, and packaging partners to deliver innovative products on time.
P&L Ownership
Own the P&L for the fragrance category - pricing, costing, margins, promotions, and inventory.
Drive profitability by optimizing pricing strategy, managing supply-demand and stock health.
Merchandising & GTM (Go-to-Market) Execution
Plan and implement product launches across channels - Online (D2C, marketplaces) and Offline (retail, distribution).
Work with marketing and sales teams to develop impactful go-to-market strategies.
Ensure availability and visibility across platforms.
Market & Consumer Insights
Track global and domestic trends in perfumes/fragrances.
Monitor competitor activity and consumer feedback to refine the offering.
Conduct pricing and assortment benchmarking.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Liaise with internal teams including marketing, design, operations, supply chain, and finance.
Ensure timely and smooth execution of new product launches and campaigns.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in Category/Product Management in Perfumes, Beauty, FMCG, or Lifestyle segment.
Deep understanding of the fragrance industry, ingredients, and formulation processes is highly desirable.
Strong analytical, commercial, and project management skills.
Proven ability to manage a category P&L and drive profitable growth.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Passion for consumer products and understanding of consumer behavior and preferences.
