We are seeking an analytical minded, customer oriented technical SAP Basis Administrator to administer and support Oracle databases and SAP systems on the Window & UNIX servers at Vistex, ideally with 3 years experience. The main priority will b promptly resolve any Oracle database and SAP system related issues and take care of the Data Center operations and management. This position will report to the SAP Basis Manager.

Responsibilities: 

  • Implementing and managing HA/DR solutions, including defining and monitoring RPO/RTO strategies
  • SAP Transport Management System (AS ABAP)
  • SNOTE & Kernel Upgrade (AS ABAP)
  • Support Pack Upgrade (AS ABAP/JAVA)
  • SSO & encryption in SAP systems
  • Perform SAP client administration (create client, copy client, delete client, export/import client) as required.
  • Maintain SAP performance by planning and executing SAP tuning strategies.
  • Monitor SAP systems (work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, disk space, etc.).
  • HANA XSA Administration
  • HANA Database Administration, including HANA upgrades, Backup & Restore, HSR
  • Administer the SAP database with Database Administrator (plan and perform database upgrades, apply database maintenance, design and maintain physical database layout, perform database reorganizations, design and implement backup and restore strategy, maintain database security, administer database performance, manage database storage, database problem determination and resolution
