Sr Unity Developer

Exp: 4+ years

Location: Ahmedabad

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and optimize VR applications for 
    Meta Quest
     using Unity (C#).
  2. Implement gameplay systems, interactions, locomotion, and VR mechanics tailored for standalone VR devices.
  3. Integrate Meta XR SDKs, hand tracking, passthrough, mixed reality features, and device-specific functionalities.
  4. Optimize rendering, performance, and memory usage for mobile VR hardware.
  5. Work with designers and 3D artists to deliver high-quality VR experiences with smooth interactions.
  6. Implement UI/UX for VR, including world-space UI, gaze interactions, and controller/hand input systems.
  7. Debug device-specific issues, performance bottlenecks, and XR-related edge cases.
  8. Build and manage deployment pipelines for Meta Quest (Oculus) Store and internal testing builds.
  9. Maintain clean, scalable code and participate in code reviews and documentation.

Technical Requirements (If any specific)

Programming Languages:

  1. C# (Strong proficiency)
  2. C++ (Preferred — basic understanding)
  3. Optional: Python/JavaScript for tools or automation

Frameworks and Tools:

  1. Unity Engine (Expert-level for VR)
  2. Meta XR SDK, Interaction SDK, OpenXR
  3. Unreal Engine (Preferred — basic Blueprints knowledge)
  4. Git / PlasticSCM / Perforce
  5. Unity Profiler, GPU Profiler, Frame Debugger
  6. Shader Graph, XR Interaction Toolkit
  7. Blender/Maya familiarity (optional for VR workflow)

Operating Systems:

  1. Windows
  2. macOS (optional, for iOS builds)
  3. Android-based VR environment (Meta Quest)

Databases:

  1. Firebase / PlayFab (preferred for VR backend services)
  2. REST APIs / GraphQL
  3. Local JSON/Scriptable Objects for configs

Cloud Services:

  1. Meta Cloud (optional for multiplayer/social features)
  2. AWS / Azure (optional)
  3. PlayFab
  4. Unity Cloud Build

Experience:

  • Minimum Years of Experience:
     4+ years in Unity development.
  • Relevant Industry Experience:
  • VR/AR development, XR apps, gaming, simulations, or real-time 3D applications.
  • Preferred:
     Basic knowledge of Unreal Engine.
