Role Description

The CDP SOUTH INDIAN role at The Fern Residency is a full-time on-site position located in Bhopal. The candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality South Indian dishes, managing kitchen staff, maintaining inventory and food costs, ensuring kitchen cleanliness and safety standards, and collaborating with the Head Chef and other culinary team members to create innovative menu items. The role demands efficiency and precision in a fast-paced environment, as well as a commitment to upholding the high standards of The Fern Hotels & Resorts.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in preparing South Indian cuisine, including traditional and contemporary dishes
  • Strong kitchen management skills, including staff supervision, training, and delegation
  • Knowledge of inventory control and food cost management
  • Commitment to maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other culinary team members
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
  • Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are beneficial
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a high-end or luxury hotel is highly desirable
