We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to manage, monitor, and troubleshoot a complex Azure-based infrastructure. The role involves end-to-end ownership of Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Database services, Azure Storage, and Azure Data Lake, as well as VPN connectivity and integration with on-premises services. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in Azure cloud services, hybrid networking, container orchestration, and application troubleshooting. They will act as the primary escalation point for Azure-related issues, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of the environment.   Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain Azure Cloud Services and ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Configure and maintain site-to-site VPN connections between multiple locations and Azure.
  • Manage ExpressRoute or hybrid network setups for integration with on-premises systems.
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues between Azure and on-premises environments.
  • Administer Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and upgrades.
  • Oversee Azure Database services (SQL Database, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, MySQL) including performance tuning and backup/restore operations.
  • Manage Azure Storage accounts, Blob Storage, and Azure Data Lake environments with proper access controls and data lifecycle policies.
  • Implement Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics for proactive monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
  • Maintain a secure and compliant cloud environment aligned with Azure Security Center best practices.
  • Work closely with application, DevOps, and network teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Provide Level 3 support for escalated incidents related to Azure infrastructure and services.
  • Liaise with Microsoft Support for complex problem resolution.
  Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of IT infrastructure experience with at least 3+ years in Azure Cloud Engineering.
  • Strong expertise in:
    Azure VM provisioning, backup, and patching
    Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) management
    Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL/MySQL administration.
    Azure Storage and Data Lake management
  • VPN/ExpressRoute configuration & troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform / ARM templates).
  • Solid understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and Azure networking concepts.
  • Experience with monitoring & logging (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
  • Good understanding of Azure security, IAM, RBAC, and compliance requirements.
