Part-Time Civil Contractor – Job Description

Position Title: Part-Time Civil Contractor

Department: Construction / Project Execution

Job Type: Part-Time / Contract Basis

Job Summary:

A Part-Time Civil Contractor is responsible for supervising and executing civil construction work as per project requirements, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion of tasks within the allocated work hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and oversee civil construction activities such as RCC work, masonry, plaster, flooring, shuttering, reinforcement, etc.
  • Manage labor, materials, and tools at the site to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare daily progress reports and update management regularly.
  • Supervise subcontractors and ensure work is completed as per drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and site rules.
  • Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and project managers for timely implementation of work.
  • Check quality of materials and workmanship on site.
  • Assist in planning daily and weekly work schedules.
  • Monitor and control wastage of materials and ensure cost-effective work execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant construction experience.
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction practices and site management.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and BOQ.
  • Good supervision, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently while working part-time.
  • Familiarity with construction safety standards.

Work Schedule

  • Part-time (Daily or Project-based working hours as per requirement).

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in building, PWD, institutional, industrial, or residential construction projects.
  • Prior work experience as a contractor, supervisor, or site in-charge is preferred.
