We at Poshn, a pre-series A funded company, with a total funding of $8M, aim to simplify the food ecosystem. We are on a mission to revolutionize the food processing industry by solving supply fragmentation and improving fill rates for buyers while optimizing working capital and operations for suppliers. As a large-scale aggregator of raw materials, we bridge the gap between food processing buyers and a reliable, well-managed vendor network.

Led by Bhuvnesh Gupta (ex - OYO, BharatPe) and Shashank Singh (ex - Uber), we look forward to strengthening our procurement strategy and sales operations. We are seeking highly experienced Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in procurement across multiple food categories. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with large food processing buyers and brands, deeply understanding their demand patterns, and leveraging a strong vendor network to fulfill those requirements. This role blends procurement, business strategy, and sales into a high-impact leadership position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify large food processors and brands, develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy to ensure seamless raw material supply to them.
  • Identify, onboard, and manage a robust supplier/vendor network capable of meeting the stringent demands of food processing companies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with food manufacturers, brands, and procurement heads to understand their raw material needs and procurement pain points.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements to drive cost efficiency and reliability in the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand, manage inventory, and optimize procurement cycles.
  • Lead business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities for growth within the food processing supply ecosystem.
  • Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and supply chain risks to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Take ownership of both procurement and sales functions, ensuring a balance between cost-effectiveness and revenue generation.

Key Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management within the food processing industry.
  • Deep expertise in one or more food categories such as grains, oils, spices, or specialty ingredients.
  • Extensive knowledge of working with large food processing companies and brands as a purchaser or supplier.
  • Strong vendor/supplier network with proven experience in sourcing raw materials at scale.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong ability to drive business growth and lead initiatives independently.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking ability to optimize procurement processes and supply chain efficiency.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a problem-solving approach.
