JOB ROLE:
A Bakery Chef de Partie (CDP) prepares and bakes a variety of items like bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene in their section of the kitchen.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, bake, and decorate a wide range of sweet and savory bakery items, including cakes, pies, chocolates, confections, and bread.
- Ensure all baked goods meet consistent quality standards for taste, texture, and appearance, adhering to recipes and established procedures.
- Oversee a specific bakery station, ensuring its smooth operation, organization, and cleanliness in line with health and safety regulations.
- Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and availability, and maintain stock levels.
- Ensure all baked goods meet consistent quality standards for taste, texture, and appearance, adhering to recipes and established procedures.
- Oversee a specific bakery station, ensuring its smooth operation, organization, and cleanliness in line with health and safety regulations.
- Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and availability, and maintain stock levels.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment properly to ensure efficiency and longevity.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff, including the head baker, pastry sous chef, and junior chefs, providing guidance and training to junior staff.
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety within the bakery section and follow all applicable regulations.
- Contribute creative ideas and collaborate on the development of new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Organize daily tasks (mise en place) and contribute to meeting baking schedules and production targets.
Job Type: Full-time
