Main Responsibilities

This position entails a senior expert role tasked with driving the strategic Integration Platforms for Opella, to manage and govern the operational aspects of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), with a focus on SAP Integration Suite (IS) and SAP Advanced Event Mesh (AEM), ensuring secure, compliant, and reliable integration infrastructure across the enterprise landscape.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage strategic integration platforms for Opella, primarily based on SAP BTP.

• Align integration platform strategies with Opella objectives while maintaining up-to-date advancements and performance.

• Collaborate within a multicultural, interdisciplinary environment, engaging with integration experts, infrastructure specialists, functional experts, and business stakeholders in a matrix organization.

• Manage relationships with multiple vendors and internal teams.

• Oversee ITIL processes, including change management, incident management, and release management.

Also including, on the governance/CoE area:

• Conduct governance reviews of documents, SAP CI and SAP AEM configurations, to ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and best practices.

• Define and implement standards, best practices, and automation aligned with enterprise architecture.

• Establish and oversee governance processes for adherence to enterprise guidelines, supporting developers in project implementation.

• Manage role definition, assignment, and collaboration with identity providers

And additionally, on the Maintenance part:

• Promote development of dashboards and reports to enhance governance, operational effectiveness, and anticipate future needs.

• Identify and address challenges faced by sustainment, operations, and maintenance teams, proposing solutions in new projects.

• Implement proactive measures to optimize scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Establish comprehensive end-to-end monitoring with observability tools to improve oversight.

• Collaborate with DevOps experts to streamline development processes using CI/CD approaches.

About You

Technical Background Required:

• 10+ years of experience in integration technologies and business project support.

• Proficiency with SAP BTP platform; additional knowledge of platforms like IICS, Kong, or any Enterprise Integration Platform is advantageous.

• Manage transport landscapes to move artifacts between Dev/Test/Prod.

• Set up trust configurations, manage users and roles via SAP Identity Authentication Service (IAS) and Identity Provisioning Service (IPS).

• Understanding high availability, failover, and configuration backup strategies for BTP services.

• Strong understanding of process integration concepts, event processing, queuing, and messaging principles.

• Experience with observability tools such as New Relic, Splunk, or Dynatrace.

• Proven experience managing hybrid IaaS, SaaS, and on-premise ecosystems.

• Understanding of infrastructure technologies, architecture, and compliance.

• Familiarity with new digital technologies and cybersecurity practices.

• Experience in regulated sectors is beneficial.

• Familiarity with API management tools beyond SAP, such as Kong, Apigee or similar.
