Job Title: Senior Backend Developer (Python Full Stack) – Team Lead

Location: Kochi, Kerala

About the Role:

Corus Infotech is looking for an experienced Senior Python Full Stack Backend Developer with 5+ years of hands-on development experience and strong expertise in leading technical teams. The ideal candidate should be capable of designing scalable systems, mentoring junior developers, managing project delivery, and ensuring best coding practices. This is a leadership-oriented role for someone who can handle responsibility, guide a team, and contribute to strategic technology decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of backend/full stack developers.
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python (Django / Flask / FastAPI).
  • Architect scalable system designs, APIs, and microservices.
  • Oversee end-to-end project development, sprint planning, and delivery timelines.
  • Perform code reviews, set coding standards, and ensure high-quality output.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end, QA, and product teams.
  • Optimize database design and performance (MySQL / PostgreSQL / MongoDB).
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and guide the team in problem solving.
  • Manage deployment, version control (Git), CI/CD workflows.
  • Ensure proper documentation and technical guidance to junior team members.

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • 5+ years of experience in Python backend or full stack development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Django / Flask / FastAPI frameworks.
  • Excellent knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, MVC structure.
  • Front-end exposure with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular preferred.
  • Experience working with SQL & NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Linux, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Proven experience in Team Lead / Tech Lead role.
  • Strong communication, analytical thinking, and leadership skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • Certification in Python, Cloud, or DevOps is an added advantage.
