THE REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • 6+ years of proven experience in IT Application Support, specializing in MS SQL Server and Windows Server, with a strong understanding of application architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices, with experience delivering support services aligned with SLAs and OLAs.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to manage complex technical issues, prioritize workload, and handle business escalations.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team of software analysts and support technicians.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical users, stakeholders, and vendors via calls, email, and messaging
  • Good understanding of technical IT concepts to facilitate discussions with internal and external technical specialists.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Windows servers administrative activities.

Desirable

  • Proven experience with Re-insurance CAT Modeling software applications and related business tools.
  • Understanding of the Reinsurance/Insurance business
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server HPC and awareness of cloud-hosted infrastructure and Software as a Service (SaaS).
  • Hands-on experience with ITSM tools or other call-tracking software.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.
  • Ability to independently apply production upgrades and provide effective support for products and technologies.
