Tyre Production Engineer – TBR & Bias | Leading Auto Components Manufacturing Company

Job Purpose:

To oversee and manage the production operations of TBR and Bias tyre manufacturing, ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective processes that meet quality and volume targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Management

  • Monitor and control daily tyre production for TBR and Bias segments.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, materials, and machinery.
  • Maintain production schedules and targets as per plan.

2. Process Optimization

  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes for both radial and bias tyres.
  • Implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  • Work closely with the R&D and quality teams to improve product performance.

3. Quality Assurance

  • Ensure that all products meet internal and customer quality standards.
  • Address quality deviations and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support audits and implement GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) on the shop floor.

4. Equipment and Maintenance Coordination

  • Coordinate with maintenance for timely servicing of machines like extruders, curing presses, calenders, bead winding machines, etc.
  • Monitor equipment performance and minimize breakdown time.

5. Safety and Compliance

  • Adhere to and enforce safety protocols in all production areas.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop floor.
  • Comply with ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, and other regulatory requirements.

6. Team Management

  • Supervise and train production line staff and operators.
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Prepare shift schedules and manage workforce planning.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production/Polymer Engineering.
  • 3–8 years of experience in tyre manufacturing, specifically in TBR and/or Bias tyres.
  • Hands-on experience with tyre building, curing, calendaring, extrusion, and final finish processes.
