Job Summary

We are seeking an
experienced and highly proficient Lead Aeroelasticity and Dynamics Engineer
to lead a major work package in
structural dynamics, flutter, and aeroelastic response analysis
.

This position requires a strong background in
FE modeling, aeroelasticity, and dynamic simulation
, combined with expertise in
MATLAB-based automation and post-processing
.

The successful candidate will oversee the full analysis lifecycle — from
model verification and Ground Vibration Test (GVT) correlation
to
flutter optimization and closed-loop system simulation
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the
    Dynamics and Flutter Analysis work package
    end-to-end.
  • Develop and customize
    MATLAB code
    for:
  • Automating flutter runs for multiple store configurations.
  • Post-processing data and generating
    V-g/V-f
    and
    flutter contour plots
    .
  • Conduct
    FE Model verification
    (mesh checks, mass distribution) and cleanup for local modes.
  • Perform
    Free Vibration Analysis
    and tabulate
    natural frequencies and mode shapes
    .
  • Develop and verify
    2D aerodynamic models
    and
    splines
    in Nastran.
  • Execute
    Flutter Analysis
    across the full flight envelope using
    Nastran (subsonic/supersonic)
    and
    ZAERO (transonic)
    .
  • Perform
    correlation with GVT results
    and update the
    Global Finite Element Model (GFEM)
    .
  • Lead
    Aeroelastic Optimization studies
    with flutter constraints, defining design variables and performing sensitivity analyses.
  • Conduct
    closed-loop flutter analysis
    and
    transient response simulations
    , including generation of
    state-space models
    and modeling
    control actuator transfer functions
    in MATLAB.
  • Prepare and finalize all
    technical documentation and reports
    .

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:
  • B.Tech (Mechanical/Aerospace) with M.Tech (Mechanical/Aerospace/Structures) — First Class from a reputed university or institution.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum
    4 years
    of relevant experience in
    Finite Element Modeling and Analysis
    with strong exposure to aeroelasticity and structural dynamics.
  • Domain Expertise:
  • Deep understanding of
    Structural Dynamics and Aeroelastic Analysis (Flutter)
    .
  • Experience with both
    Global and Component-level Aircraft Analysis
    .
  • Software Proficiency:
  • Nastran/Patran
    and
    Hypermesh
    for modeling and analysis.
  • MATLAB
    for post-processing, automation, and GUI customization.
  • Preferred Attributes:
  • Leadership in project execution and technical guidance.
  • Strong documentation, report writing, and presentation skills.
