As a Data Engineer, you'll design and build scalable, real-time data systems that serve as the backbone for our products and insights. You'll work on high-volume, high-velocity data pipelines and help shape the architecture that supports our AI-driven ecosystem.

What You'll Own

  • Design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines (batch and streaming) for our Data Lake and Warehouse
  • Optimize Lakehouse architectures (Apache HUDI / Iceberg) for performance and scalability
  • Implement robust data governance, cataloging, and validation frameworks using AWS Glue or Lake Formation
  • Develop efficient ETL pipelines in Spark, Scala, Python, and Hive to standardize data across multiple sources
  • Own data quality - build monitoring systems, alerts, and validation checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to enable ML/AI model deployment on billion-scale datasets
  • Automate repeatable analysis and reporting workflows through orchestration tools like Apache Airflow
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and version-controlled repositories (Git)
  • Identify optimization opportunities across data infrastructure, ensuring speed, reliability, and cost efficiency

Who You Are

  • 1 - 2 years of experience building and managing large-scale data engineering systems
  • Strong command over SQL, Spark, EMR, and big data query engines
  • Hands-on experience with real-time data processing, CDC (Change Data Capture), and streaming pipelines (Flink preferred)
  • Deep understanding of data lake architectures, schemas, and governance frameworks
  • Proficiency in Python, Scala, Hive, and Unix/Shell scripting
  • Exposure to orchestration tools (Airflow) and version control (Git)
  • Experience working with open table formats such as Hudi, Iceberg, or Delta Lake
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex data problems
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related analytical field
