SAP BASIS Support Lead

As a Senior SAP BASIS Support professional at ZettaMine Labs, you will be a key member of our support team, responsible for the proactive monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex SAP landscapes across multiple client projects. You will leverage your extensive SAP BASIS knowledge and experience to ensure the high availability, performance, and security of various SAP systems and databases. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment with a 24x7 support model.

Responsibilities :

• Provide expert-level support for SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW, PI/PO (Process Integration/Process Orchestration), Solution Manager, Fiori, and other SAP components.

• Perform daily system health checks, monitor system performance, and proactively address potential issues.

• Manage SAP system parameters, work processes, memory management, and spool administration.

• Plan and execute SAP system refreshes, copies, and migrations, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.

• Apply SAP Support Packages, Enhancement Packages, and Kernel upgrades.

• Configure and manage SAP Fiori components and troubleshoot related issues.

• Administer SAP Solution Manager for system monitoring, technical monitoring, and EWA (EarlyWatch Alert) analysis.

• Provide administration and support for SAP HANA, Oracle, DB2, or MSSQL databases underpinning SAP landscapes.

• Perform database monitoring, backups, recovery, and performance tuning.

• Troubleshoot database-related issues and collaborate with database administrators as needed.

• Analyze SAP system performance using various monitoring tools and identify areas for optimization.

• Perform SAP performance tuning activities at the application and database levels.

• Diagnose and resolve complex SAP system and application issues, including performance bottlenecks, errors, and system outages.

• Analyze system logs, traces, and dumps to identify root causes.

Transport Management System (TMS) & Change Management :

• Manage and administer the SAP Transport Management System (TMS) landscape.

• Configure transport routes, perform transport requests, and troubleshoot transport-related issues.

• Adhere to and enforce change management processes for SAP system modifications.

• Possess a strong understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems relevant to SAP deployments.

• Perform basic OS-level troubleshooting and collaborate with OS administrators as needed.

• Experience with managing and supporting SAP deployments on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is a significant advantage.

• Familiarity with cloud-specific BASIS tasks and considerations.

• Manage and resolve SAP BASIS-related incidents and service requests within defined SLAs.

• Participate in problem management activities to identify and implement permanent solutions to recurring issues.

• Implement and maintain SAP security best practices related to BASIS administration.

• Participate in security audits and ensure compliance with relevant security policies.

• Be willing and able to work in a 24x7 support model, including participation in on-call rotation schedules to provide support outside of regular business hours.

• Create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation for SAP BASIS procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

• Share knowledge and best practices with other team members.

Required Skills :

• Extensive SAP BASIS Administration Experience: 7-10 years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting complex SAP landscapes.

• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager, Fiori, and other relevant SAP components.

• Proven experience with SAP HANA, Oracle, DB2, or MSSQL databases in an SAP environment.

• Hands-on experience with performing SAP system refreshes, copies, and migrations.

• Demonstrated ability to perform SAP performance analysis, tuning, and complex troubleshooting.

• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with SAP TMS.
