Job Title: Purchasing Officer

Job Location: Airoli, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

Salary Range: ₹ 25,000 – ₹ 35,000 per month

Minimum Experience Required: 1 year in the construction industry

Mandatory System Knowledge: SAP Business One (SAP B1)

Job Summary:

CMV Infraprojects Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join its procurement team. The candidate will handle sourcing, purchasing, and tracking of construction materials and supplies—ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and high-quality standards. Strong communication and negotiation skills, along with proficiency in SAP B1 and construction domain knowledge, are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors for construction materials and supplies.
  • Obtain and compare quotations; negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules for cost optimization.
  • Prepare, process, and manage purchase orders (POs) accurately using SAP B1.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with site teams to ensure materials are available as needed.
  • Track deliveries, follow up on delays or discrepancies, and ensure timely receipt of goods.
  • Maintain clear and organized procurement records—purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes—as per company standards.
  • Coordinate with finance for purchase-related payments and resolve billing or supply issues.
  • Generate periodic reports on procurement costs, supplier performance, and materials status for management review.
  • Stay informed about market trends and emerging materials relevant to construction procurement.

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum 1 year of procurement experience in the construction industry (e.g., sourcing cement, steel, aggregates, finishing materials, etc.).
  • Proficient in SAP Business One (SAP B1) for PO management and procurement tracking.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel).
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Education (Preferred):

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
