We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader IT Hardware Support Engineer to lead a team of support engineers and ensure efficient hardware and IT infrastructure support across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on technical expertise in IT support along with proven leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of IT hardware support engineers, ensuring timely and effective technical support.
- Provide hands-on support for installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware including desktops, laptops, printers, and network devices.
- Monitor daily operations and assign tasks to team members to ensure smooth support operations.
- Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure adherence to IT service standards, SLA commitments, and company policies.
- Maintain documentation of support processes, incidents, and solutions.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement, warranty, and repairs.
- Train and mentor junior staff and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Participate in planning and implementation of IT infrastructure upgrades or rollouts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- 57 years of experience in IT hardware support, with at least 23 years in a team leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong technical knowledge of desktops, laptops, networking devices, printers, and other IT peripherals.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems, remote support tools, and asset management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects effectively.
