Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and other key criteria.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply chains.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders while adhering to company policies and project timelines.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess industry trends.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure the best prices and delivery terms for materials and services.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ascertain materials specifications required for projects.
  • Monitor procurement processes and resolve any issues related to supply disruptions or quality control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within the civil engineering sector.
  • Strong understanding of civil materials, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively across departments.
