Job Title: Manager Sales & Marketing
Location: Heritage Madurai, Madurai, Tamil Nadu
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reports to: General Manager
Job Description
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and implementing effective sales strategies, building strong client relationships, and promoting Heritage Madurai as the preferred destination for leisure, corporate, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions), and social events.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Identify new business opportunities in leisure, corporate, wedding, and MICE segments.
- Manage existing client accounts and ensure repeat business through excellent relationship management.
- Collaborate with online travel agents (OTAs), travel companies, tour operators, and corporate houses.
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Research and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Explore opportunities with international and domestic travel markets.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client visits, and participate in trade fairs/exhibitions.
Client Relationship & Negotiation
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key accounts, event planners, and travel agents.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and packages in line with revenue and profitability goals.
- Handle client queries, complaints, and requests efficiently.
Marketing & Promotions
- Work with the marketing team to create attractive packages and promotions.
- Support digital marketing, social media campaigns, and brand visibility initiatives.
- Represent the hotel in networking events, exhibitions etc.,
Team Collaboration & Reporting
- Coordinate with operations, front office, and banquet teams to ensure smooth guest experience.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for management.
- Train and mentor junior sales executives where required.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to build long-term client relationships.
- Knowledge of hospitality/resort industry, preferably in luxury segment.
- Self-motivated with target-driven approach.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in Hotel Management/Business Administration (MBA preferred).
- 4 to 6 years of experience in hotel/resort sales, with proven track record in revenue growth.
- Prior experience in heritage or resort property sales will be an added advantage.
- Strictly male and experienced candidate only preferred
