Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Modelling Intern/Freelancer to support our consulting team in preparing project feasibility reports, investment decks, and detailed financial models for hotel and resort developments.

The role involves working closely with senior consultants to evaluate project viability, perform scenario analysis, and assist in preparing investor presentations and TEV/DPR reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain 10-year financial models for hospitality projects (Hotels, Resorts, Serviced Apartments).
  • Assist in preparing Revenue & Expense projections by department (Rooms, F&B, Banquets, Misc. Income).
  • Perform sensitivity, IRR, DSCR, ROI and break-even analyses.
  • Develop CAPEX, OPEX and cash flow statements aligned with market benchmarks.
  • Support in preparing project feasibility reports, investor memorandums and management presentations.
  • Benchmark ADR, Occupancy, RevPAR and GOP performance against competitive sets.
  • Analyse brand fee structures and operator models.
  • Conduct market and demand studies in coordination with the research team.
  • Update financial dashboards, comparatives and track key performance indicators for active projects.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas, data validation, sensitivity analysis).
  • Knowledge of Hotel performance metrics (ARR, RevPAR, GOPPAR, Occupancy) and P&L structures.
  • Understanding of DCF valuation, IRR/NPV, and capital structuring.
  • Exposure to TEV/DPR financial modelling preferred.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and presentation skills (PowerPoint & written reports).
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.

Qualifications:

  • MBA (Finance / Hospitality), CA (Inter), CFA Level 1+ or final-year BHM/Hotel Management students with strong finance aptitude.
  • Prior experience or internship in Hospitality Consulting, Real Estate Finance or Project Feasibility preferred.
  • Freshers with strong Excel and analytical skills are also encouraged to apply.
