Job Title: Project Sales Manager for Building materials co at Chennai
Location: Chennai
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reporting To: General Manager Sales
Objective:
To drive business growth through project-based sales of steel Bar products by developing strong relationships with builders, contractors, architects, structural consultants, and project procurement teams across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and manage project sales opportunities for steel bar in the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as builders, developers, contractors, architects, and government departments.
- Track and monitor major construction and infrastructure projects to ensure timely engagement and product positioning.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through project and institutional sales.
- Generate demand through effective product presentations, technical support, and solution-based selling.
- Coordinate with distributors, channel partners, and internal supply chain teams to ensure smooth order execution and delivery.
- Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and establish market presence.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and customer updates for management review.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Education: Graduate in Engineering / Diploma in Civil / BBA / MBA (Marketing preferred).
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in project or institutional sales in the steel / building materials / construction industry.
- Industry Exposure: Preferably from steel bars, cement, construction chemicals, or related building materials.
Skills & Attributes:
Good knowledge of the Chennai and Tamil Nadu construction market.
Compensation:
Maximum gross up to 10 LPA + DA + Incentive
