Purpose of the Role:

This position is meant to serve the purpose of being the front line of the Technology Transfer activities from lab to plant scale.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for shift planning.
  • Responsible for smooth running of operation as per SOP, troubleshooting during emergency.
  • Responsible for handling day to day operations and knowledge of maintenance.
  • Ensure smooth running of all machineries.
  • Responsible for handling control room operations.
  • Should possess excellent co-ordination skills with maintenance, QC, waste preparation, stores and other departments.
  • Ensure preparation of work permit.
  • Responsible for training of operators and labour and workplace safety.

Supporting Role during New Projects

  • Supporting project team for equipment selection and sizing.
  • Supporting project team for P&ID, PFD generation, BEP preparation, utility sizing, plant layout preparation etc.
  • Supporting project team in commissioning of new plants.
  • Review of engineering/technical document prepared by project/consultant team.
  • Support to commercial scale during pre-commissioning & commissioning activity.

Equipment handling

  • Able to handle all Equipments/Unit Operation
  • Chemical Reaction Like Chlorination, Bromination, Nitration, Hydrogenation

Qualification:

MSc/B.E. / B. Tech. - Chemical (Full time) with 2-4 Years of Experience

Knowledge of

  • Strong basics of chemical engineering.
  • Scale up studies, Pilot Trials
  • Attention to details & excellent presentation skills
  • Basic understanding of different safety tests like MIT, MIE, Explosivity etc. and designing safety interlocks based on the results of tests.

Skills Required:

  • Basic computer skills e.g., MS-Excel, MS-word
  • Ability to work in team
  • Ability to lead team cross functional team
