We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Sales Executive with a strong background in mutual funds and financial product sales. The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of experience in retail financial services and will be responsible for driving sales, developing new client relationships, and providing advisory support to customers in selecting suitable mutual fund products. This role requires an energetic professional who can combine product knowledge, customer-centric communication, and effective sales strategies to achieve business growth.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales & Revenue Growth
    • Drive retail sales of mutual funds and other investment products to meet and exceed assigned sales targets.
    • Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities to maximize revenue potential.
    • Convert leads into long-term customers by offering the right investment solutions.
  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
    • Build strong relationships with retail customers by understanding their financial goals and risk appetite.
    • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and portfolio reviews to provide customized investment advice.
    • Provide post-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction through proactive follow-up.
  • Mutual Fund Advisory
    • Guide clients in selecting mutual fund schemes aligned with their investment objectives and financial plans.
    • Stay updated with market trends, new fund launches, and regulatory guidelines to provide accurate information.
    • Educate clients about systematic investment plans (SIPs), lump-sum investments, tax-saving options, and portfolio diversification.
  • Business Development
    • Expand customer base by networking, prospecting, and generating leads through multiple channels.
    • Collaborate with distribution partners, financial advisors, and other stakeholders to enhance reach and sales opportunities.
    • Maintain a pipeline of prospects and track progress through CRM tools.
  • Compliance & Reporting
    • Adhere to all regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and industry standards.
    • Ensure KYC, documentation, and compliance checks are completed for all client transactions.
    • Prepare periodic sales reports, market analysis, and performance updates for management review.

  • Sales Expertise: Proven track record in retail financial product sales with strong closing skills.
  • Mutual Funds Knowledge: In-depth understanding of mutual fund products, market trends, and investment strategies.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Strong ability to engage clients, understand needs, and build long-term relationships.
  • Communication & Presentation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a simple manner.
  • Analytical Ability: Proficient in analyzing customer profiles and recommending suitable investment solutions.
  • Negotiation & Persuasion: Skilled in influencing customer decisions while keeping their best interests in mind.
  • Tech Savvy: Comfortable using CRM systems, MS Office, and digital platforms for sales and reporting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • NISM Mutual Fund Distributor Certification (mandatory).
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in retail sales within mutual funds, asset management, or financial services.
