The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Technical Analyst to join our Investment Advisory team in Mumbai. This is a highly analytical and strategic role, focused on developing trading strategies and providing market insights to the Fund Manager, Investment Committee, and UHNI clients. The role is purely advisory and analytical in nature, with no order execution responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and present actionable technical trading strategies across Indian equities, commodities (with a strong focus on crude outlook), and global currencies.
  • Conduct in-depth technical analysis, including charting, pattern studies, and indicator-based models to generate recommendations.
  • Monitor global economic trends, currency movements, and crude oil dynamics, assessing their impact on Indian markets.
  • Provide timely market outlooks, short-term and thematic investment ideas to the Fund Manager and Investment Committee.
  • Engage directly with UHNI clients, addressing portfolio-related queries and offering technical insights that support their investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with the broader research and advisory team to ensure cohesive and well-rounded investment strategies.
  • Deliver clear, insightful reports and presentations for both internal stakeholders and clients.

What Were Looking For

  • Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Economics, or related field. Professional certifications such as CMT, CFA, NISM or equivalent will be highly valued.
  • Experience: 10 20 years of experience as a Technical Analyst within equities, commodities, or wealth management environments.
  • Expertise in Tools: Proficiency in technical analysis platforms (Bloomberg, TradingView, MetaStock, Amibroker, etc.).

  • Knowledge Areas:

  • Indian equities and derivatives

  • Global crude oil outlook

  • Global currency dynamics and their correlation with Indian markets

  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex market insights in a clear, concise manner to UHNI clients.

  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to market research.
