Job Summary

We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer with 2+ years of experience in managing and supporting Intune, Active Directory (AD), Windows Server (Wintel), and VMware virtualization environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise IT infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and high availability.

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will work with Intune, Active Directory, Windows Server, VMware, and cloud integrations to support business operations. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on system administration experience, and a willingness to learn and grow in an enterprise IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Active Directory & Windows Server Administration

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Active Directory, Domain Controllers (DCs), and Group Policies (GPOs).
• Support Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) integration, user authentication, and security policies.
• Manage Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments, including patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, and NTFS permissions for seamless enterprise operations.

2. VMware Virtualization & Server Management

• Support VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and VM provisioning.
• Monitor and troubleshoot VM performance, storage configurations, and virtual networking issues.
• Assist in the deployment and maintenance of VMware clusters, HA, and DRS configurations.
• Perform server backups, snapshot management, and disaster recovery planning.

3. Security & Compliance

• Follow security best practices to secure Active Directory, Windows Servers, and VMware environments.
• Assist in role-based access control (RBAC), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and privileged access management (PAM).
• Support backup and disaster recovery plans for Active Directory, Windows Server, and VMware infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, NIST, SOC, and GDPR security frameworks.

4. Troubleshooting & Incident Response

• Diagnose and resolve Active Directory login issues, GPO conflicts, and server performance issues.
• Troubleshoot VMware host connectivity, resource allocation, and storage performance problems.
• Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) and documentation of recurring infrastructure issues.
• Work with helpdesk and senior engineers to resolve server-related tickets and escalations.

5. Automation & Infrastructure Support

• Learn and assist in PowerShell scripting for automating administrative tasks in Active Directory and Windows Server.
• Support server deployment automation using Ansible, Terraform, or SCCM.
• Document best practices, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

6. Collaboration & Continuous Learning

• Work closely with network, cloud, and security teams to ensure smooth IT operations.
• Participate in technical training, team meetings, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies in Windows Server, VMware, and cloud infrastructure.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Must-Have

• 2+ years of experience in Intune, Active Directory, Windows Server, and VMware administration.
• Hands-on experience in Active Directory user management, GPOs, DNS, and DHCP administration.
• Basic knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, and VM troubleshooting.
• Experience with server patching, security updates, and performance tuning.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Good-to-Have

• Certifications:
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
• VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA) or VCP-DCV
• ITIL v4 Foundation
• Basic scripting experience in PowerShell for automation.
• Exposure to Azure AD, hybrid cloud environments, or AWS IAM.
• Knowledge of IT security principles, firewalls, and zero-trust security models.
