Key Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute the companys long-term technology roadmap in alignment with business goals.
  • Lead the development of advanced aerospace systems including propulsion, avionics, control systems, aerostructures, and unmanned systems.
  • Identify emerging aerospace technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact on TISA's business.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate technology into overall company strategy.

Engineering & R&D Oversight

  • Provide strategic oversight of product design, prototyping, testing, validation, and system integration.
  • Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams including aerospace, mechanical, avionics, software, and systems engineers.
  • Drive rigorous engineering standards, system safety, and regulatory compliance (DGCA, FAA, EASA).
  • Foster a strong culture of technical excellence, innovation, and quality assurance.

Project & Product Management

  • Ensure timely delivery of product milestones across multiple parallel development projects.
  • Oversee lifecycle management of aerospace programs from conceptual design to certification and production.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Business Development to convert customer requirements into viable technical solutions.

Collaboration & Partnerships

  • Build strategic partnerships with research institutions, industry partners, government agencies, and defense stakeholders.
  • Engage with clients and end-users to understand technical requirements and ensure product fit.
  • Represent TISA Aerospace in technical forums, industry conferences, and consortiums.

People & Culture

  • Hire, develop, and retain top engineering talent across various technical domains.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, transparency, and accountability.
  • Establish internal knowledge management, continuous learning, and technical mentoring systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

  • Master's or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Avionics, or a related discipline from a reputed institution.
  • Additional certifications in program management, defense systems, or business strategy are a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in aerospace engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or executive role.
  • Proven track record of delivering aerospace products (civil or defense) from concept to deployment.
  • Hands-on experience in one or more domains: flight dynamics, structural design, CFD, propulsion systems, avionics, UAV systems, or satellite systems.

Technical Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of aerospace product lifecycle, from R&D to certification and production.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks: DGCA, FAA, EASA, DRDO, HAL, ISRO, etc.
  • Experience with tools such as CATIA, ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, and aerospace simulation environments.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering, reliability analysis, and embedded systems is highly desirable.
