Job Description of QA-Lead

Key Responsibilities -

  • Develop, execute, and maintain test cases, test plans, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and API testing to ensure software quality.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using issue-tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Trello.
  • Develop and maintain automation test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
  • Perform SQL queries to validate data integrity in databases.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide QA insights.
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines and integrate automation tests into Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Ensure software compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Participate in retrospectives, daily stand-ups, and sprint planning in an Agile environment.
  • Provide detailed test reports and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience -

  • 8+ years of experience in software testing (manual & automation).
  • Team Leading experience.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
  • Hands-on experience with automation testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).
  • Experience in API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.

  • Good understanding of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and writing SQL queries.

  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
