Role Overview:

The Assistant Manager - QA will lead quality operations for assigned product categories

or vendor clusters, ensuring adherence to company quality standards from sourcing to

shipment. The role requires strong technical knowledge, vendor management, and

cross-functional coordination to drive consistent product quality and process

improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Planning & Execution

  • Implement QA strategies aligned with the business and product category goals.
  • Monitor in-line and final inspections conducted by QA executives or third-party

agencies.

  • Review and approve inspection reports and validation data.

Vendor & Factory Management

  • Conduct factory audits to evaluate process capability and compliance.
  • Guide vendors in implementing corrective and preventive measures.
  • Maintain vendor quality scorecards and drive continuous improvement

initiatives.

Product & Process Assurance

  • Validate product specifications, finishes, and performance testing reports.
  • Ensure products meet safety, durability, and aesthetic standards.
  • Collaborate with design, sourcing, and merchandising teams during product

development.

Team Support & Reporting

  • Supervise QA Executives, providing direction and feedback.
  • Analyze inspection data to identify recurring quality issues.
  • Present category-level quality dashboards and improvement plans.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
  • 50-10 years of experience in QA (preferably in furniture, home décor, or

consumer goods).

  • Strong understanding of inspection procedures, audit systems, and product

testing.

  • Experience in vendor audits and process improvement.
  • Good analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
